Wondercon 2017

Comic-Con International which puts on the world famous Comic-Con in San Diego is bringing Wondercon back to the Anaheim Convention Center this year on March 31 - April 2.  There will be plenty of cosplayers there, and this is another great opportunity for photographers to get some awesome pictures.

The premiere horror convention Monsterpalooza is back in the Pasadena Convention Center on April 7-9.  This convention has something for all horror fans.  Hollywood FX studios put on live makeup demonstrations and vendors have unique merchandise for sale.  There are presentations, panels, and celebrity meet and greets where you can get autographs from the actors who brought your favorite horror movies to life.  Also bringing their favorite characters to life are many creative cosplayers that attend this convention.  As a photographer, there are so many photography opportunities. Upcoming Son of Monsterpalooza in Burbank is a great opportunity to take photos

About a year ago and half ago I discovered conventions are the perfect opportunity to get awesome photos.  I'm not a professional photographer so I sometimes struggle to find interesting things or people to photograph.  I am a huge fan of film and the horror genre so this convention is the perfect mix of both.  It features some of the talented actors and artists involved in the creation of the creatures and films that we all love.  As you will see below, it also attracts plenty of talented cosplayers. Son of Monsterpalooza  is an offshoot of the much larger Monsterpalooza which was held in the Pasadena Convention Center last April.  It is being held in The Marriott Burbank Hotel and Convention Center on September 16-18.  If you are a horror/scifi fan or just learning photography, I highly recommend you head out to Burbank.
